Bienvenidos
Welcome
To Marianne's sort of personal homepage
Marianne is guilty of cooking up most of the pages around here. If you have read enough you probably suspect that historical recreation is her main hobby, and that she's trying to boldly set-up a group where none have been before (that's in the Canary Islands, Spain). There's more, of course, but she can't be bothered to translate it just yet.
And her alter egos
Marianne, who appears to be otherwise mentally stable, has several personas.
- Leonor Martin, ca. 1475
A sort of middle class woman, probably from somewhere around León (northwestern Spain). She's married and lives in newly-settled lands, in the frontier, where the future is not quite clear. Her husband has left her in charge while he seeks support at court. He's been away for quite a while and I think Leonor could be widowed any day now.
- Leonor Nunnez, 12th-13th c.
Possibly a woman of dubious staus. She tends to be seen only during the Maderuelo festival.
- Leontia?, 1stc.?
This poor woman doesn't even have a proper name. We know she's a citizen of Rome and little else. I suspect she's the daughter of a freed slave and a roman citizen.
