These are some of the inhabitants of Alcazar:
Orm is a man working in the "hird" (= warriors and helping hands. Also called "huskarl") of a rich landowner in the late 12th century Sweden. It is period of change in Sweden. The old viking age society of small kingdoms is changing to a society of a few stronger kings (basically a "Swedish" king in conflict with the Danish. Sweden was just about to take shape). The upper level of the society is strongly influenced by continental Europe (Much due to the newly introduced Christianity), whereas the rural society remain much the same. Much of the clothes and items of the viking age remain the same (even the religion in some places), at the same time as much is changing. A warrior in the hird of a rural landowner would have difficulties of having the same armour as the elite warriors around the kings and highest nobility who could follow the influences from the Continent. Hence, I am not a viking, and at the same time not like a 12th century south European. I am Nordic 12th-13th century.
Jens is from Sweden and works in Madrid, doing astronomy reasearch.
Leonor lives in the 70s... the 1470s. Born to a not-so-great leonese family, she married well and travelled farther west than she ever imagined. Now widowed she tries to rebuild her life and keep her estate...
Marianne was born and lives in Gran Canaria. She works for a small IT business. She's interested in all kinds of issues related to daily life back in time, including food, dancing, dressing the part, etc.
